Dr. Tyer diagnoses and treats conditions such as migraine headache, dementia-Alzheimer's Disease, stroke, epilepsy, Parkinson's Disease, peripheral neuropathy, neuromuscular diseases, and sleep disorders. He is proficient in the use of Botox for migraine headache, limb spasticity, and cervical dystonia. Dr. Tyer and his staff are dedicated to serving their patients with compassion and respect in a comfortable setting. Dr. Tyer is on staff at ETMC-Tyler, Mother Frances Hospital, and Texas Spine and Joint Hospital. The office phone is answered 24 hours/day 7 days/week. Dr. Tyer graduated from Bishop Gorman High School in Tyler. He earned his undergraduate degree at Rice University and his medical degree at UTMB. He completed his internship and residency at UTMB where he later served as Assistant Professor in Neurology. Before coming home to Tyler in 2012 and creating Neurology Associates, Dr. Tyer worked at the Kelsey-Seybold Clinic in Houston for 2 years and was a partner at Central Texas Neurology Consultants in Austin/Round Rock for 11 years.
